Wembley defender, Nikki Phillips, has won the Shirley Doornbusch Medal as the MVP for PNA’s Open Division 1 competition. Phillips polled 68 votes to be a clear winner ahead of Caitlyn Brown from Classics (49 votes) and Kathryn Byrne from City Beach (38 votes).
The 30-year old ex-Victorian spent a year playing for the Curtin Hamersley Comets in the WANL competition before transferring to Wembley. Nikki became very familiar with the courts at Matthews during 2021 as she is also a teacher in SEDA’s netball program.
