About the competition
PNA conducts a Winter Competition from May to September each year. Season dates are approved by the PNA Executive at the end of the preceding year, announced at the AGM and published in the PNA calendar.
The different competitions run during winter are:
The Open Competition is intended for players above school age and must be a minimum of fifteen years of age as at 31st December of that playing year. Grading is carried out according to Team ability/performance.
Junior Years 9 – 12:
This competition is designed for players in school years 9 – 12. Grading of the competition is primarily based on the strength of the individual Team.
Junior Years 7 – 8:
This competition is designed for players in school years equivalent to 7 and 8 with some exceptions. The year 7 and 8 divisions are combined and are graded on Team ability.
Junior Years 2 – 6:
This competition is designed for players in school years 2 – 6 with some exceptions. Grading of this competition is primarily based on school years and then by ability.
