Information on traffic and parking in and around the Matthews Netball Centre on match days is outlined in the Traffic and Parking Information Sheet.
Please note the following important points:
- Drop off /Pick up zones are located on the access road between the football oval and Matthews. Please do not use the eastern entry as a drop-off zone.
- PNA will have traffic contractors (Kany Bidi) and staff at the Allison Drive/Salvado Rd intersection, at the crosswalk opposite the Gold Netball Centre and in the grass overflow carpark. Please cooperate with PNA parking contractors and traffic staff on site at all times.
- Please be respectful of local residents and obey parking signs. Council rangers patrol the streets and the Wembley Sports Park precinct on match days and will hand out infringements for anyone found breaking local parking regulations.
- If you can’t find a bay in one of the 3 carparks at Matthews, or just want to avoid the congestion, there are a number of free and legal parking options within a short walk of the courts. Take a look at our Alternative Parking Options map.
- The number of available bays at Matthews ebbs and flows with the timing of games. As people leave after their game has finished, more bays become available. If your timing is right, you will normally have no trouble finding a parking spot. Use the drop off area on the south side of the courts to get your child to their game on time and then come back later when the carparks are clearing.
- Carpool where possible.
- Use public transport. To plan your trip, consult with the Transperth Journey Planner.
- Cycle, scooter or walk. Cycle paths are abundant around the Wembley Sports Park and in the neighbouring streets. PNA also has excellent provisions for locking up your bike or scooter at each entry gate. Please do not take your bike or scooter with you courtside as they can create a hazard for players and umpires.
