Umpire
At PNA we value the importance of umpires as an integral part of our game. We aim to provide support and learning opportunities for anyone wishing to develop as an umpire.
PNA runs various workshops through out the year aimed at both junior and senior umpires of various abilities. We can also support umpires working towards a badge in the Netball Australia Umpire Accreditation System.
For more information about umpiring at PNA please contact our Umpire Development Officer.
PNA Umpire Workshops
Beginner Umpire Workshops
Held during the April, July and October school holidays, our Netball Rules Workshops are aimed at beginner umpires. The Workshops involve technical and practical applications of umpiring, rules discussion and on court umpiring.
All participants are required to sit the online Rules of Netball Theory Exam prior to the Workshops – please be aware that the cost of the Rules of Netball Theory Exam is not included in the Umpire Workshops. This can be completed in the online Netball Australia Learning Portal.
NOTE: In order to be eligible for a PNA Green Shirt Program in 2025, umpires must have attended and passed a PNA Beginner Umpire Workshop in 2024.
More information regarding the PNA Green Shirt 2025 program will be distributed at the end of the year.
