PNA Academy Program
The PNA Academy Program aims to bridge the gap between Association and WANL. This program will provide athletes with an introduction to training at an elite level.
Teams will be selected from athletes in the following age groups: 12s, 13s, 14s, 16 & Under, and 20 & Under. Selected athletes will participate in a 8 week intensive training program focusing on both on and off court skills, and a 6 week Friday night competition against other Metro Associations played at rotating venues.
Only athletes identified by PNA and their clubs will be invited to trial (with the exception of those in the 20s and Under age group, who may self nominate).
2026 Program Information
The PNA Academy Program is divided into five aged based squads:
- 12s (born in 2014) – Club Nomination
- 13s (born 2013) – Club Nomination
- 14s (born 2012) – Club Nomination
- 16 & Under (born 2010 & 2011) – Club Nomination
- 20 & Under (born 2006 – 2009) – Open Trial

Cost: $15 (plus 2.03% transaction fee) Non-refundable.

TRIAL ATTENDANCE & SELECTION
Trials for the 20 & Under Squad will be open to all athletes, due to the high number of new athletes joining the Association or those transitioning from school to club netball. Register HERE
Athletes must attend Trial 1 and at least two trials to be eligible for selection. If you are unable to attend a trial, you must submit a Trial Exemption Request Form at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled trial. Please note that exemption requests are not guaranteed and will be reviewed by the PNA Development Committee.
Athletes selected to progress to the next stage will be notified by Wednesday following each trial, via email.
Club Nominations Due: 5:00pm, Wednesday 8th July.
Trial Registrations Close: 5:00pm, Wednesday 22nd July.

PROGRAM COSTS
PNA will offer payment plan options for all athletes at the time of registration. Please note that program fees are non-refundable, and a 2.03% transaction fee applies to all PlayHQ registrations.
Team Member Cost: $400 (Includes $75 dress hire bond)
A $75 dress hire bond applies to all team member athletes, with $50 refunded once the dress is returned in good condition.
