Across all levels of netball played at PNA, we encourage our coaches to have the appropriate level of knowledge and skills to create a fun, enjoyable and safe environment for participants.

PNA runs courses to assist coaches of all ages and skill levels in their development, and can assist coaches towards gaining Netball Australia accreditation.

There is also a range of great online resources and tools to assist with all aspects of becoming a great coach.

PNA Coaching Clinics

Attendees to PNA run coaching clinics must be affiliated with a PNA Club or School.

On the Court Series

PNA run our ‘On the Court’ coaching sessions at various times throughout the year.

These sessions are aimed at coaches working with athletes aged year 7 to open, however, all coaches are more than welcome to register.

Venue: Matthews’ Netball Centre
Time: 6:30 – 8:00pm
Cost: $30 + PlayHQ Fee

Places are limited to 30 participants.

Shooting Specialist:
Skills to jumpstart the 2024 Season

This is the first of two shooting specialist sessions that will be offered throughout the season. The first session will focus on the basics and skills to develop at the start of the season including technique, shooter movements, rotations and some basic structures.

Defence Specialist:
Skills to jumpstart the 2024 Season

This is the first of two defence specialist sessions that will be offered throughout the season. The first session will focus on the basics and skills to develop at the start of the season including the phases of defence, specifically denying and dictating, leans/variety over the shot, blocking and rebounding and basic structures.

Centre Court Specialist:
Skills to jumpstart the 2024 Season

Wednesday, 22nd May 2024

Presented by Sophie Szabo

This is the first of centre court specialist sessions that will be offered throughout the season. The first session will focus on the basics and skills to develop at the start of the season including the split and reoffer, hitting the circle as well as working on and off, give and go as well as other preliminary movements and basic structures.

Accreditation Courses

Foundation Coach Online Accreditation

The Foundation Coach Online Course outlines introductory coaching information and basic netball techniques for beginner coaches, teaches, parents and NetSetGO coaches.

This course is solely online and is the first step in the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme from Netball Australia.
