Perth Netball Association will be coordinating its first ‘NO LIMITS’ netball program as part of our Winter 2017 Season.
The program is in partnership with Netball WA and is a fantastic opportunity for participants with an intellectual disability aged 11 and over to engage in our sport of netball, meet new friends and play in a safe environment as a part of a team.
The program commences on 27th April and will continue every Thursday for six weeks leading into participation in the Smarter Than Smoking Association Championships, a state-wide carnival, representing Perth on the long weekend in June. In the second half of the season we are keen to compete against our sister Associations who are also running this program.
Initially we are looking for one team however we can expand this should there be enough interest. We already have a band of volunteers ready to coach, manage and assist with training and now we need participants.
This is a project that has been on the Association’s agenda for some time and we are looking forward to its inclusion into our annual calendar.
