PNA members approved changes to the Constitution at last week’s AGM which has resulted in a number of changes to our Executive Committee. A new Treasurer role has been established while two positions, Marketing Officer and Publicity Officer, have been removed.
The Marketing and Publicity Co-ordinator roles on the Executive have become redundant due to the increase in PNA staff resources. The functions of these roles are now performed by paid staff. The addition of a Treasurer role is consistent with standard management practice in not-for profit Associations. The role of the Treasurer requires a specialist skill set which oversees and compliments those of the paid staff. The creation of this role is reflective of the increased importance PNA has committed towards sound and transparent financial management.
